Will it work in [my app]?
Almost certainly yes. VoiceTyper types into the active window on your computer, the same way a keyboard does. If your cursor is blinking in a text field, VoiceTyper works there: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Discord, Notion, Google Docs, Word, VS Code, ChatGPT, Claude, X, LinkedIn, and basically any other app. No app-specific setup.
How accurate is it really?
Around 99% on natural conversational speech. A bit lower (95%+) on heavy industry slang, mumbled audio, or unusual proper nouns, but you can add anything to your personal dictionary in two seconds and it'll be recognized everywhere going forward.
What about background noise?
VoiceTyper works great in normal home and office environments right out of the box. In genuinely loud spaces, like a coffee shop or an open-plan office, a basic headset mic (USB or wireless) pushes accuracy even higher. We keep a short list of mics our customers love, just ask support.
Will it actually understand my accent?
Yes. We trained on millions of hours of real conversational and professional voices, so the regional accents most dictation tools stumble on land cleanly: deep Southern, Texan, New Orleans, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Midwest, Pacific Northwest.
